# Account settings

> Manage your profile, password, two-factor authentication and notifications

Account settings is where you manage your personal details, keep your account secure and choose which emails you receive. It is not in the left sidebar: click your user avatar in the top-right corner, then choose **Account Settings**. **Profile**, **Security**, **Notifications** and **Display** appear as tabs within that page.

The page also includes a **Sharing** tab for controlling investor access (see [Sharing & access](/founder-portal/sharing-access)) and a **Team** tab for inviting colleagues (see [Team](/founder-portal/team)).

## Profile

The **Profile** tab holds your personal information. Update your profile photo, edit your **Full Name**, then click **Save Changes** (or **Cancel** to discard). A newly uploaded photo is saved straight away, so it appears across the app immediately.

Your **Email** and **Member Since** date are shown for reference but cannot be edited. Contact support if you need to update your email. A **WhatsApp** card at the bottom shows whether your WhatsApp number is linked, and clicking it takes you to the linking flow.

## Security

The **Security** tab covers your password and two-factor authentication.

### Changing your password

    Under **Change Password**, fill in **New Password** and **Confirm New Password**. A strength meter shows how secure your new password is.

    Click **Update Password**. If two-factor authentication is switched on, you will be asked for your 6-digit code first: enter it and click **Verify & Change Password**.

### Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security by asking for a code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or 1Password) each time you sign in.

    Under **Two-Factor Authentication**, switch on the **Enable 2FA** toggle.

  <Step title="Scan the QR code">
    Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or enter the setup code manually if you cannot scan.

  <Step title="Verify">
    Enter the 6-digit code from your app and click **Verify & Enable**.

To turn it off, switch the toggle off, enter your current 6-digit code and click **Disable 2FA**.

## Notifications

The **Notifications** tab controls which emails you receive when investors interact with your shared profile and data room. Each has its own on/off toggle, and changes save instantly:

| **Access Requests**    | An investor requests access to your data room                                    |
| **New Messages**       | Someone sends you a message                                                      |
| **Profile Views**      | An investor views your Caplia profile (at most once per investor every 24 hours) |
| **Document Downloads** | An investor downloads a document from your data room                             |
| **NDA Signed**         | An investor signs the NDA for your company                                       |
