Your subscription decides which parts of Caplia are unlocked for your company. One subscription covers everyone in that company: if the admin subscribes, every team member gets the same access. Billing is not in the left sidebar. Click your name in the top-right corner, then choose Billing, or go straight to /billing. On a phone, open the More tab and choose Billing under Other.
Only company admins can open the Billing page. If you are a member rather than an admin, the page shows a notice asking you to contact your company admin. The badge under your name in the account menu tells you which you are.

Which plan am I on

  • The sidebar footer, under your name, shows Free, Raise, Enterprise or Trial (Prepare only on legacy accounts). The standard signup trial shows Trial. A trial or licence granted at a named tier shows that tier with (Trial) after it, for example Raise (Trial).
  • On the Billing page, a paid plan appears in a Current Subscription card with the plan name, price, billing period and renewal date.
  • A trial or a programme licence appears instead as a Free Trial Active banner with the days remaining, and the Caplia Raise card carries a Trial Active badge.
Under Plans you get three cards: Caplia Core, Caplia Raise, which is marked Most popular, and Caplia Enterprise. Your current plan shows Current Plan on its card instead of a subscribe button. Caplia Core always shows Included with every account.

The plans

Caplia Prepare is no longer sold. If you subscribed to it before it was withdrawn, your plan keeps working and still shows in the Current Subscription card. Caplia Raise is now the only self-serve paid plan, and Caplia Enterprise is contact sales.
Below the cards, four comparison sections show what each plan includes: Passport and sharing, Readiness and coaching, Investors and pipeline and Data room and team. They are drawn from the live plan settings for your account, so they are the reference if this page and the app ever disagree.

Limits by plan

On Caplia Core you keep your CRI score and your cap table, but rescoring, full Iris, the investor database, pitch coaching and psychometric testing need Caplia Raise. Passport sharing and secure data room sharing also sit on Caplia Raise, and are part of your trial. Inviting team members is available on every plan, up to your plan’s limit. Share links you created while sharing was included pause while your plan does not include it, and work again the moment you upgrade.
Plan contents and limits are configurable, so Caplia can adjust them without shipping a new app version. Treat the comparison sections on /billing and the usage meters in the app as the live numbers for your account.

Prices and currency

Prices are shown in your local currency, chosen by region: pounds in the UK, euros in Europe and dollars everywhere else. Checkout charges in that same currency. If you have paid Caplia before, your customer record may keep the currency from your first purchase. The Monthly and Annual toggle sits above the plan cards, with a Save 25% badge on the annual option. Annual prices are shown as the per-month equivalent and billed as one payment for the year. Caplia Core shows Free and Caplia Enterprise shows Custom: its card has a Contact Sales button that takes you to Help & Support.

Subscribing or upgrading

1

Open Billing

Click your name in the top-right corner and choose Billing. During a trial there is also a See Plans button in the top bar.
2

Pick monthly or annual

Use the Monthly and Annual toggle. If the toggle is missing, an annual price is not configured for your environment and monthly is the only option.
3

Choose a plan

Click Onboard Now on Caplia Raise. The same button is repeated in the row under the comparison sections. It reads Processing… for a moment, then a secure Stripe checkout opens in a dialog inside Caplia. If you have a discount or promotion code, enter it there before paying.
4

Confirm

After payment you are returned to the Billing page, a confirmation appears, and your new plan shows in the Current Subscription card.
If you already have an active paid subscription and click Onboard Now on a different price, no new checkout opens. A Change your plan? dialog names your current plan and the one you are moving to. Choose Switch plan to apply it immediately, with Stripe charging or crediting the difference pro rata, or Keep current plan to leave things as they are. A Subscription updated message confirms the switch.

Changing or cancelling

With a paid plan, click Manage Subscription on the Current Subscription card. That opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can:
  • update your card or payment details
  • switch plan or billing period
  • see invoices and payment history
  • cancel your subscription
A cancellation runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, so access does not stop the moment you cancel. A failed renewal payment does not cut you off immediately either: the card is retried while you keep working, so update your details in the portal as soon as you notice.

Your free trial

New accounts start with a trial, granted once per person for life. Creating a second company or a new version of your Passport does not start another one. A standard signup trial sits on its own trial tier that mirrors Caplia Raise, including Passport sharing and secure data room sharing. Caplia Tap NFC cards are the exception and stay on Caplia Raise. While it runs, the Billing page shows the Free Trial Active banner with the days remaining, the comparison sections gain a Trial column, and the top bar shows the same countdown next to the logo. Caplia tells you the length when you finish onboarding: a standard signup gets a 3-day trial, and a founder who joins by accepting an investor’s invitation gets 6 months at the Caplia Raise level on the company they share. When the trial ends you drop to Caplia Core automatically. Nothing is deleted.

Programme and accelerator licences

If your accelerator or programme funds your Caplia licence, your plan arrives as an entitlement rather than a card payment. See Link your Passport for how to redeem a programme code and what the programme can then see. Expect two differences on the Billing page. Your access appears in the Free Trial Active banner with the days remaining rather than in a Current Subscription card, because it is a granted licence and not a Stripe subscription. And there is no Manage Subscription button, because there is no payment for you to manage. To keep the higher plan after the licence expires, subscribe normally with Onboard Now. Access follows you rather than a single company: if you belong to more than one company or Passport version, the highest active plan across them applies.

When a plan lapses

Your account returns to Caplia Core. Your Caplia Passport and company profile stay live, and your data room and cap table stay intact. Core keeps up to 5 team members, so nobody is pushed off your team by a lapse. What pauses is sharing. Passport share links you sent, and any data room access you granted to investors, stop working while your plan does not include sharing. An investor who opens a paused link sees a message asking them to contact you. Nothing is deleted, and the same links work again as soon as you upgrade to Caplia Raise. About 24 hours before a trial, a programme licence or a cancelled subscription ends, Caplia emails the account admin to say what will pause and when. Locked features show a card naming the feature, a badge for the plan that includes it, and a View Pricing Plans button back to Billing. Resubscribing restores access immediately.

Troubleshooting

You are signed in as a member, not an admin, of this company. Ask whoever set the company up to open Billing. Your role is shown as a badge under your name in the account menu in the top-right corner.
Reopen /billing. The page re-checks your subscription with Stripe every time it loads, which is the fix for a plan that looks out of date. If it is still wrong a couple of minutes later, contact support through Help & Support with your payment confirmation email to hand.
Refresh the page and try again. If it keeps happening, contact support. You cannot click Onboard Now on the plan you are already subscribed to: that card shows Current Plan instead.
The price for that plan and billing period is not configured for your account’s environment. The message appears as a notification after you click Onboard Now, not as text on the card. Try the other billing period, wait a few minutes, or contact support.
The Monthly and Annual toggle only appears when an annual price exists for Caplia Raise. When it is absent, monthly billing is used.
That button needs a payment record. If your access came from a trial or a funded programme licence, there is no subscription to manage. If you paid using a different email address than the one you sign in with, contact support so the two can be linked.
Caplia Core includes 5 Iris messages a day, in the app and on WhatsApp. The count resets the next day, or upgrade for unlimited messages. See Iris.
Check two things: your plan’s team member limit in the table above, and their role. Admin-only actions such as billing, cap table edits and document deletion are not available to members. See team.
Still unsure which plan fits your raise? Open Help & Support from the account menu, or ask Iris from anywhere in the app.
