How to Create Multiple Caplia Passport Versions (1:07 video)

Watch: How to Create Multiple Caplia Passport Versions (1:07 video) shows what a Passport version is, how to switch between versions, and how to create a new one. A Passport version is a separate company profile under your one Caplia account. Each version has its own Passport, data room, Readiness Index score and share links, so an investor who opens one version sees nothing from another. Founders use versions to tailor a Passport for a particular investor, or to apply to a programme or award with a Passport of its own.

Switching between versions

On a computer, click your company name in the top bar, next to the Iris button. The menu lists Your Versions, with a tick beside the one you are in. Click another version to switch to it, and everything on screen then belongs to that version. On a phone, tap the building icon at the top of the screen, to the left of the notifications bell, to open the same list.

Creating a new version

1

Open the version menu

Click your company name in the top bar (or the building icon on a phone) and choose Create New Version.
2

Name it

Enter a Version Name and click Create & Continue.
3

Run the setup wizard

The setup wizard opens for the new version. Upload the pitch deck you want this version built from, exactly as you did for your first Passport. See Getting started.
A new version starts empty. It does not copy the Passport details, documents, score or pipeline of the version you were in, and it does not start another trial. See Billing and subscriptions.

Share the right version

The version you are in is the one you share. Before you create a share link or redeem a programme code, check the company name in the top bar. See Sharing and access and Link your Passport.

If your documents or score seem to have disappeared

Check which version you are in. Documents, scores and share links belong to one version, so they are almost always in the other one. Duplicate submissions of the same company can also show up as two versions: open each one to see which holds your latest deck.
